Ashleigh & Jason

Date

Ashleigh was a just a toddler when her family moved into their new residence on Arionne Drive. A little while later, another family with two young boys moved in just down the street. Little did she know what was to come…

The two boys were older than Ashleigh, so while the families knew one another, the children did not really hang out together. In high school, Ashleigh started to get to know Ryan, the younger of the two brothers. He was in the same circles as some of her very best friends, so they all hung out together, attending parties and so on.

Time had passed and high school was in Ashleigh’s rear view mirror. Ryan had married and Ashleigh was dating. She was at a friends wedding and saw Ryan and his new bride!  Ashleigh was excited to see an old friend so she went straight over to say hi. Ryan’s reaction was astonishing, he acted as though he did not know her, he was almost cold. When he finally said “I’m not Ryan,” Ashleigh felt humiliated and quickly retreated. Later that evening during the reception, they bumped into one another again and started over. His name was Jason, and he was Ryan’s older brother. He was handsome and she was smitten. When Ashleigh got home that evening, she told her parents “I met Jason tonight and I am going to marry him one day!”

Two days later, Ashleigh friended Jason on Facebook. One afternoon, she was out watching the Eagles game and posted a picture on Facebook. Jason noticed instantly, and sent her a message asking if she was at a local bar called Millers. In the picture she had been at another spot, but she had just arrived at Millers. Serendipity? Ashleigh did not think twice, she left her date and spent the rest of the game with Jason. She was very busy persuading him to take her out. Because of their nine year age difference, his initial response was “No, your parents would kill me!”  Love won out in the end and Jason relented. While he was an absolute gentleman, he too was smitten, and 5 years later Jason proposed. Two beautiful children later… it was TRULY meant to be!
