My mother always said don’t go looking for love, it will find you. But if and when it does you will most likely have a short window of opportunity to react. And if it doesn’t work out, maybe it wasn’t meant to be. You will truly know when it’s real. That’s what she told me, and boy was she right!
As the weeks passed, they turned into months. Months turned into years. I found myself sitting, standing and still telling this same story of how I met the love of my life. It did not matter who it was, girls, guys, couples of all kinds, they were all flat out curious. Actually, they were really excited. They all loved hearing a good story about how two people met. Guy meets girl, the same recurring theme kept playing over and over again, except with a lot of twists and turns and craziness of real life. Love – Love – Love. It never gets boring. It never gets old. I guess it’s like the old saying, love makes the world go round. So with some trepidation and a lot of excitement, I began to write our love story.
As I wrote, I continued to think of my mom’s advice. Turns out I actually listened this time. So guys put down the cell phone and look up once in a while. The love of your life may have just walked past you, but you’ll never know if you don’t look around. You may think that this stuff never happens to me. Well I am here to tell you that I thought the same thing and trust me, it can happen. Virtual reality, augmented reality, reality television, texting and so on. Yeah, I get it, it can be fun sometimes, but REAL life is so much better. Don’t miss out on your own next adventure. Get in the game of life!
You are either on the love train or not. If you are, it makes you do funny things you just would not ordinarily do. It just hits you, bam! It’s not something you can watch out for. But when it does, and if you want it, be open to it. How you react determines whether this will make it further down the road. Never give up!
Love is that magical moment that happens between two people that if acted upon could last a lifetime. In that lifetime we are passionately committed to keeping that love strong and consistent and it can stay that way, as it was on that very magical moment when you met that special someone.
I am in such a crazy mood today that I could not write. So I went for a walk. Just like in relationships — we sometimes need to step outside and take a breathe of air. A good walk to clear the mind. After all we are only human. Every day is not going to be blissful! But one thing is for sure, when I come back, my love is going to be there. Courage and believe! Take a chance cause only love can save the world, one relationship at a time. It may save you someday. Love is waiting for you, so don’t waste it. It’s waiting for you to make the right choice
Sometimes love can be funny, quirky or Serendipitous. It can happen in places you would never expect. Look at me, I found love while driving down the street, pulled up to her and asked her out to Lunch. She said “no, I had lunch” and I looked back to her and said “I guess a drink is out of the question?” “Ok sure, I have an hour or so to kill.” Crazy right? She took a chance on me and of course there is the feeling you get all over. And there’s the attraction thing as well.
